About us

A house raised for harvest

First Apostolic Church of Little Rock began with a burden, a vision, and a call — Pastor and Lady Jones obeying the Lord to glean a ready harvest in Southwest Little Rock.

Our Story

From a nine-week revival in Mabelvale to a furnished sanctuary in the heart of Southwest Little Rock.

In June of 2025, while preaching a nine-week revival in Mabelvale, AR, Pastor Jones — then Evangelist Jones — felt the undeniable burden of pastoral leadership.

In an early morning prayer meeting in the sanctuary at the Mabelvale church, the Lord gave Pastor Jones a vision of a mighty harvest in the Southwest Little Rock area. In that vision, the Lord showed him thousands of hurting and hungry souls who were in desperate need of a safe place where they and their families could come and heal, be delivered and thrive in God’s Kingdom. During this prayer meeting, Pastor Jones felt the weight of pastoral ministry placed upon him as he wept over the souls of the city of Little Rock. The Lord would begin revealing to him the faces of those he would later win and convert. He knew in that moment that God was shifting his assignment and sending he and his family to glean a ready harvest for the Lord.

In process of time, as this burden continued to unfold, the Lord kept speaking to Pastor Jones in prayer and showing him what He desired of him to do. After going on a two-week fast in preparation for what the Lord had in store, Pastor Jones began believing God for a building where they could house this harvest. Bishop John Jeffrey advised Pastor Jones to create a Hezekiah list — writing down exactly what they needed from the Lord, then presenting those detailed needs in prayer.

Pastor Jones did just that. While he and Lady Jones fasted and prayed over this list of needs, the Lord led Pastor Jones to a church building in the heart of Southwest Little Rock. After speaking with the realtor about the property, Pastor Jones felt impressed of the Lord to move in faith and ask the seller to sell them the building fully furnished. The seller obliged — and what was once a forgotten house of worship became the new home of First Apostolic Church of Little Rock.

This was the first of many incredible miracles the Lord did for Pastor and Lady Jones as they pursued the call of God in the city of Little Rock. Since the doors have been opened, many have come to the knowledge of the truth. Many souls have been baptized and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. This is only the beginning of all the wonderful things God has in store for First Apostolic Church of Little Rock. This is just the beginning of what the Lord has in store for FAC. Our story is still being written and we welcome you and your family to come and be a part of this amazing family as we endeavor to make the Lord Jesus Christ known in the earth.

Pastor JL Jones and First Lady Sheena Jones have been married for 12 years and share two wonderful children, Maevrie and Greyson. Before answering the call to pastor, the Jones family were evangelists who traveled nationally preaching the Word of the Lord.

While doing the work of an evangelist, Pastor Jones was privileged to preach numerous extended revivals all over the Pentecostal movement. He has preached old fashioned tent meetings, Amish tent revivals in Terre Haute, IN where countless Amish were healed, filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. He’s preached youth conferences and prayer revivals, seeing the hand of God upon the next generation. Under his ministry, they have witnessed countless notable miracles, divine healings, and deliverances. In his most recent four years of ministry, Pastor Jones has baptized nearly 500 souls in the name of Jesus Christ. He is a firm believer in teaching Bible studies, doing outreach and bus ministry.

Pastor Jones is a strong advocate for sound biblical teaching and Christian scholarship. He attended Arkansas Tech University studying social psychology, and is currently enrolled in the D.R. Bell Apostolic Bible College with hopes of obtaining his doctorate in theology. He holds a certificate of ordination from First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock under the leadership of Pastor Nathan Holmes and Bishop Joel Holmes. He is also an ordained Elder and licensed minister with the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, Intl. (PCAFI).

As a family, their passion is to travel and enjoy vacation. They truly love people and enjoy hosting home Bible studies over a nice meal prepared by Sis. Jones. The Jones family lives a conservative holiness lifestyle. They are proponents of prayer, fasting, and consecration. Daily fervent prayer at the church is their foundation and has become the culture of FACLR.
